Ben Holland works for RMI’s research and consulting practice, as well as the marketing and communications team. He focuses his time in two primary areas: vehicle electrification and social media strategy. Ben provides expertise in electric vehicle readiness and social network development.

RMI Projects

  • Project Get Ready (PGR): As a Project Manager for PGR, Ben works with city governments, research institutions, utilities, and industry stakeholders to prepare communities for the adoption of vehicle electrification. In addition, Ben manages strategic partnerships, contributes to research projects, and consults on best practices for city and utility electric vehicle integration.
  • Social Media: Ben manages RMI’s social media activities and strategy. His focus in this area is to strategically incorporate social media into RMI initiatives, brand positioning, and audience engagement.
  • RMI Brand Development: Ben contributes to the development of RMI’s branding and messaging strategy. Most recently, he managed an RMI brand and audience research project. This project focused on understanding various audiences’ perceptions of RMI’s work and the energy issues it seeks to solve.

Background

Prior to RMI, Ben worked for a branding company in Richmond, Virginia, where he coordinated identity branding for one of the nation’s leading health clubs. He also volunteered as a development assistant for Preservation Virginia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving historic buildings throughout the state.
