Coreina Chan

Consultant (Buildings)

Boulder

As a consultant with RMI’s buildings practice, Coreina Chan helps design teams establish efficiency and design goals, and ensure effective, integrated design processes. In addition, she has contributed workshop facilitation services and daylight and water budgeting analysis to a wide range of project types over the last three years, including municipal parks, botanical gardens, large mixed-used developments, city sustainability plans, residential complexes and commercial buildings.

RMI Projects

Tianjin Eco City — A joint Sino-Singapore new construction development
with a commercial city center and residential high-rise neighborhoods. RMI served as an advisor to the developer in the master planning phase
and provided recommendations for improving the city's design-
performance guidelines and reducing fossil fuel and water consumption.

Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Headquarters — Design of a new 20,000-square foot headquarters building in Agoura Hills, California. RMI helped to establish the
project's sustainable design and resource efficiency goals, and is
acting as a peer reviewer throughout the design process. Coreina is
the project manager for the RMI team, and is also contributing to the
 daylight analysis and design.

Ford — RMI is partnering with a major automotive group to identify solutions that will have a large scale impact on both new and existing
auto dealerships to improve building efficiency. RMI is providing
'whole systems' energy and water audits on select facilities,
comprehensive energy analysis, life cycle cost analysis and the
creation of a business case that will guide the industry toward cost
effective building retrofits.

Charrette and workshop facilitation — Coreina has contributed to the
planning and facilitation of multiple charrettes with diverse
objectives, ranging from project goal-setting and design strategy
identification to client and design team education.
