Ways to Give

Through the generosity of our donors, RMI has the opportunity to "think"—to research whole-systems energy solutions. Client engagements give us the opportunity to "do"—to test our solutions in the real world. Be among these people and contribute to RMI.

Solar charretteThere are many ways to donate to RMI. Visit our Financials page to learn more about how we manage our annual budget, and Where Your Money Goes to learn how the Institute spends our revenue.

Give Today Online

Make an immediate, unrestricted contribution to support RMI's most critical work. Unrestricted contributions will be used wherever they are most needed at the time.

Make a Monthly Gift

By giving a recurring gift, you join other RMI Sustainers who help form a predictable source of income for RMI to help the world get off oil and fossil fuel-generated electricity. It’s quick and easy to set up a monthly or quarterly gift with a credit card. Or, download our Automated Account Deduction Form to set up a monthly transfer from your bank account.

Gifts in Honor or in Memory

Make a gift in someone's honor or in the memory of a departed loved one. A memorial fund can also be made in the memory of a departed loved one. Many people have chosen to support RMI in this very personal way.

Give a Gift Subscription

Help share details about RMI's work with those who are in a position to drive change in the world by giving a one-year gift subscription to RMI's Solutions Journal.

Give A Holiday Gift

During November and December, you can make a donation to RMI as a holiday gift to a friend or family member. We will send each recipient a special holiday greeting card so they know of your thoughtful gift. They will also receive a one-year subscription to RMI’s Solutions Journal.

RMI is a member of Earth Share, a Washington DC-based organization that manages workplace-giving campaigns for national environmental charities, just as the United Way raises funds for its health and human service charities. Through Earth Share, employees can have a chosen amount automatically deducted from each paycheck to support any Earth Share member organizations, including RMI. Federal employees can also contribute to RMI through the Combined Federal Campaign. Contact us at develop@rmi.org or (970) 927-3851 to find out how to sign up an employer.

1% For The PlanetSince 2002, 1% for the Planet has inspired members of the business community to contribute 1% of sales to environmental groups around the world.
