Case studies from RMI's video High Performance Building: Performance by Integrated Design. On the cutting edge of sustainability, the Desert Living Center featured a radically integrated design process which resulted in no less than seven LEED Platinum-certified buildings. Using highly innovative techniques like cooling towers, the Desert Living Center represents a working laboratory for what is possible through sustainable design. From the earliest stages, the design process worked towards an integrated system where landscape could be fused with building architecture, mechanical systems and daylighting.
