In 2011, nearly everyone at the Institute contributed to the completion of Reinventing Fire, an initiative and book that lays out pathways to achieve our vision for a new energy era. This independent research and competitive strategies we share show promising ways to win the global clean energy race using today’s technologies.

In the pages that follow, we take you down the path we set this past year, sharing some of Reinventing Fire’s vision for the future, key solutions along the path and some concrete examples from our work—the people and projects that are laying the foundation for this energy revolution we’re calling for. We’ve already begun implementing Reinventing Fire through our initiatives and collaborations, and here we tell a few of those stories.
