A Memorial Fund can be made in the memory of a departed loved one. Many people have chosen to support RMI in this very personal way.

The Phillip Austin Semmer Memorial Internship Endowment Fund
In the summer of 2000, just before Phillip left for Australia, he told his parents that he wanted to be an Intern at RMI upon his graduation from Northwestern University in 2001. Tragically, Phillip died in an automobile accident in Australia that summer.
Phillip's parents established the Phillip Austin Semmer Memorial Internship Endowment in 2001 to provide for an RMI intern each year. In addition, students active in Northwestern University's Students for Ecological and Environmental Development (SEED) group established "Philfest," which has become an annual bluegrass, Earth Day and Phillip Semmer celebration.
The Eric Konheim Memorial Fund
Following the death of Eric Konheim in 1991 in a sea kayaking accident, his parents, Bud and Carolyn Konheim, and friends honored his informal bequest to RMI by establishing the Eric Konheim Memorial Fund. The fund supports an intern at RMI.
