RMI’s National Solutions Council (NSC) helped the Institute more than match a challenge grant issued by NSC members Rachel and Adam Albright. The Albrights offered RMI a $125,000 matching grant for new memberships or increased giving from renewing members. NSC donations exceeded the Albrights’ challenge, and RMI now has 29 new NSC members.

NSC members—whose annual donation is at least $1,500 to RMI—are important to RMI’s work. Members often get a sneak peak at RMI projects as well as opportunities to provide insight and have conversations with RMI’s Research and Collaboration staff.

Each year the NSC sponsors an RMI initiative. For 2011, the NSC voted to support RMI's groundbreaking initiative Reinventing Fire—driving the transition to efficiency and renewables.
