- Amory Lovins's 1 May 2003 letter in Public Utilities Fortnightly rebuts Andrew Rudin's claim that since electric efficiency hasn't reversed electric demand growth, it's worse than useless and suggests how to accelerate the savings. This letter appeared in Public Utilities Fortnightly, www.fortnightly.com (01 May 2003).

- After years of crying out in the energy wilderness, America's green-power evangelists are addressing their message to America's mainstream and they're drawing more listeners, in large part because of this spring's power crunch in the western United States. This article appeared on MSNBC Interactive News, www.msnbc.com (24 July 2001).
E01-17, California Dreaming, The American Spectator (PDF-34k)
- Commentary on William Tucker and the California Electricity Mess. Unabridged version of Amory Lovins's letter (published July/August 2001 under the editor's title "California Dreaming") responding to an April article in The American Spectator (www.spectator.org) by William Tucker, who blamed Mr. Lovins for causing California's electricity mess (2001).
E00-34, Clean Renewables and Efficiency, Not Coal, Are the Key (PDF-8k)
- Uncut version of a 2 December 2000 op-ed in the Aspen Daily News by Ken Wicker & Karl R. Rábago, in response to an op-ed by Colo. State Rep. Carl Miller (D-Leadville) of House District 61. In a previous edition of the newspaper, Rep. Miller wrote an opinion that appeared in several Colorado newspapers titled: "Electricity from Coal is Essential, Affordable and Increasingly Clean." Sen. Miller's piece reflected on the booming economy, the state's rapid growth, and rising energy prices in Colorado (notably rising natural gas prices), and proposed that Coloradoans look at coal as the solution, especially for those with economic hardships (02 December 2000).
