What is the Business Renewables Center?
The Business Renewables Center (BRC) is a membership platform that streamlines and accelerates corporate purchasing of off-site, large-scale wind and solar energy.
Why It Matters
Nearly two-thirds of Fortune 100 and nearly half of Fortune 500 companies have set ambitious renewable energy targets. The BRC helps corporations unlock the tremendous opportunity to scale up and reduce the transactional complexity of renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs).
BRC members collectively embody the know-how of the industry—they have been involved in 94 percent of corporate renewables deals since 2015. Our 200+ members include major corporations, leading renewable energy project developers, and transaction intermediaries.
WHAT WE’RE DOING
Connecting corporate buyers and service providers with available renewable energy projects
Covering the most important technical issues related to off-site corporate renewable energy transactions
Offering our members detailed insights into the processes and key insights of specific companies
WHAT WE’VE ACCOMPLISHED
The BRC has grown from 28 founding members and sponsors in 2015 to more than 200 members today. Since 2015, 94 percent of corporate renewable energy deals have happened through BRC companies, and in 2016, BRC won a “company of the year” nomination from Utility Dive.
