Ginny Yang, Director of Operations at RMI, works to grow and engage RMI’s base of donors through online and mailed communications. She is also the administrator of RMI’s outreach and development database.

Background

Prior to working in Development, Ginny volunteered at RMI, conducting research on biophilic building design in hospitals, studying the health benefits of connecting people to nature. She then went to China to volunteer as a teaching assistant for RMI’s semester-long graduate-level course at Beijing University’s School of the Environment. She also contributed to the heavy trucking analysis in Winning the Oil Endgame.

Before joining RMI, Ginny worked for Accenture as a consultant for clients such as Nortel Networks, Oracle, and Cadence Design Systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.

While in China, Ginny coauthored a management case study for the United Nations Global Compact on the largest Chinese boiler manufacturer transitioning from coal to biomass-burning product. She analyzed financial, social and environmental impacts of the change for the Guanghua School of Management at Beijing University.
