Jason is a principal within RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA). Jason’s areas of expertise include collaborative process design and facilitation, project accelerators, emerging energy technology, remote and islanded power systems, Arctic energy, and energy access and international development. Jason joined RMI in October 2014.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Jason was a program manager at the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP), an applied energy research center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks focused on enabling and integrating energy systems in islanded micro-grids and remote communities. Jason developed and managed ACEP’s Data Collection and Management Program, evaluating the performance of energy technology demonstrations throughout the state. Jason also developed and managed the Denali Commission Emerging Energy Technology Grant Program, and the State of Alaska Emerging Energy Technology Fund Grant Program.

Jason is originally from Alaska and has worked for the Denali Commission, the Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, BP, and the State Department in Fiji, and has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Vanuatu.
