Kate Mark

Systems and Process Training Lead
  • Program Services

As a systems and process (SYS-PROC) training lead in RMI’s Program Services team, Kate proactively supports employees in becoming effectively skilled and self-empowered for successfully knowing, understanding, and applying day-to-day operational SYS-PROC functions/actions. She supports others at the individual, cohort, and program levels by designing and delivering training, guidance, oversight, and best practices that are scalable, lean, and continually improving.

Background

With over 20 years of experience, Kate joined RMI in 2016 after operating her remote business administration and communications consultancy — Delegate to Kate — for three years. Her previous renewable energy work includes supporting executive teams at Clipper Windpower in Denver, Colorado, and Knight & Carver Wind Group in San Diego, California. At Boulder’s Mind & Life Institute, Kate planned, promoted, and implemented large- and small-scale public events with the Dalai Lama that illuminated the fascinating intersection between neuroscience and meditation. At the millennium, she was a key player in the artificial intelligence R&D team of HNC Software (acquired by Fair Isaac Corporation) for six years, adding value through project coordination, technical book editing, designing and running data experiments, and production and promotion of advanced machine learning developments through public event planning. Kate is an ardent student of brain and body wellness and spends her time outside of work researching the latest discoveries on these topics, hiking, meditating, and horseback riding.
