Yi Ke

Yi Ke was a senior associate at Rocky Mountain Institute. Her work is primarily focusing on renewable energy integration, power sector reform, and integrated grid. She is passionate about leveraging technical, business and regulatory innovations to transform the electricity system. She co-led the electricity sector work of Reinventing Fire China project, to develop a pragmatic pathway for Chinese power system to reach achieve high renewable penetration at a lower cost.

BACKGROUND

Yi brought to RMI five year R&D experience in developing novel and low-cost materials for solar cells in National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). While in NREL, she realized a transformation at system level is needed for a better and more sustainable energy future. However, there was much less attention on putting puzzles together compared to attention given to individual technologies. In search for best minds working in this field, Yi found RMI and became part of it.
